The University of Tampa (UT) offers comprehensive educational opportunities that prepare students for dynamic careers and the challenges of the 21st century. 5,200 undergraduates study more than 100 majors, and 1,100 graduate students are enrolled in 19 degree programs. A student-to-faculty ratio of 16 to 1 and an average class size of 21 allow for close interaction with professors and a personalized education. The International Programs Office assists 600 international students with documentation, regulations, cultural adjustments, academic issues, and other concerns. The 100 acre campus right on the water lie in the heart of Tampa. With a metropolitan population of 2.7 million, Tampa offers several cultural, recreational, and internship possibilities. Tampa experiences hot summer days, frequent thunderstorms in the summer, and mild winters with a rare overnight freeze.
